Our Story
We are the Ferreira Legacy
- In the humble town of Jeoaquim Felicio, in Minas Gerais Brazil, a group of lapidaries from the Ferreira family came together to form the first ever cutters of gemstones in that town back in the 1970s.
- In the early part of the 1990’s Moizes Ferreira de Lima dominated all the Morganite Beryl production all around the area of Governador Valadares, MG Brazil.
- In the early 2000s the Ferreira Family explored the first African Paraiba Tourmaline deposits in Mozambique Africa as well as deposits in Brazil.
- In 2015 the Ferreira legacy cemented its positions in Paraiba Tourmaline production from its mine in Mozambique
- In 2024 the Ferreira family developed a book to document the story of the Paraiba Tourmaline
